Purse Snatched at Salvation Army Food Bank

A woman picking up food from the Salvation Army had her purse forcibly ripped from her arm, on Alta Street. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a woman parked her car at the back parking lot, when she was approached by a man in his early 20’s, Tuesday morning. The suspect grabbed the women’s purse and fled through Mateno Park. The Sheriff says the victim provided a good description of the suspect.

Sheriff’s Deputies were able to put a perimeter and searched for the suspect. Deputies are still looking for the suspect and the purse. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Sheriff at 265-7880.
