A suspect that was spotted by law enforcement ends up going to jail after crashing a vehicle while trying to outrun a deputy. Nevada County Sheriff Captain Jeff Pettitt says the deputy recognized the driver of a car heading up Old Rough and Ready Highway as 28 year old Wyatt Yoder.
The vehicle was driving in excess of 60 miles and hour as it approached the stop sign at Rough and Ready Highway and Bitney Springs Road.
A little over a half mile into the pursuit the suspect vehicle ran into trouble.
At that point the deputy was able to detain the Yoder and take him into custody and the vehicle was searched. Suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located.
Yoder was booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for vehicle theft, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, violation of post release supervision, and other outstanding warrants.
