Quick Response to Auburn Home Fire

A structure Fire in Auburn drew response of multiple fire engines when it was first reported around 9 o’clock this morning. The fire was on Live Oak Street and had the potential to spread to other structures.

Cal Fire Public Information Officer John Hotchkiss says the fire was in a neighborhood close to the Placer County Fairgrounds where fire crews working the Applegate Fire are staged. Multiple engines in the fire camp responded to Auburn Fires call for assistance.*

12 fire trucks at the Fire Camp and not currently assigned to the Applegate Fire responded to the call including 4 fire trucks from Marin County, 4 from the City Of Auburn 2 from Cal Fire, and one each from Newcastle and So. Placer. They were able to hold the fire just to the garage area.
