Racers Brave Heat in Nevada City Bicycle Classic

For 57 years, racers have come to Nevada City to test their skills on one of the most challenging Criterion courses anywhere.

This year was no different. More than forty men and women took part in the 75 minute race down Broad Street and up Commercial in some pretty tough conditions. Temperatures in the mid-nineties and intense sun caused all the spectators and volunteers to find shade, but the riders had to endure what mother nature provided.

Team Mike’s Bikes had two riders who quickly broke away from the pack, Chris Reikert and Cameron Bronstein. Although they are teammates, in a race as prestigious as this, you go for the win.

The two riders continued to battle and as they crossed the Finish Line.

Another great year for the Nevada City Classic.
