Radio Shack May Be Closing for Good

It’s been rumored before, but may be closer to reality now. Radio Shack may be going out of business. The New York Stock Exchange has suspended trading on the electronics company, amid a Bloomberg report that Radio Shack is planning to sell half its stores to Sprint, and close the other half. Radio Shack has two stores in Grass Valley, and while the future of them is still unknown, one employee speculated to KNCO that if one store remained open as a Sprint dealer, it would probably be the one on McKnight Way. The McKnight Way store and the Sutton Way location each have about a half-dozen employees. Radio Shack has been in business since 1921.
