This latest round of rain is starting to un-do some of the work accomplished by Nevada County road crews after two strong storms earlier this month. Nevada County Principal Civil Engineer Joshua Pack says there’s some new damage out there…
They also had to re-close Maybert Road near the town of Washington late last week after bringing in 86 truckloads of materials to get the roadway open. Pack says one bright spot, though, is that Brunswick Road near Greenhorn and East Bennett is still passable, despite the depression that has seen the road sink a couple of feet…
Cooper Road near North Bloomfield is still closed because part of the roadway has washed away. Pack says they have been putting 120 tons of rock each day on that road, and still can’t open it. They hope to have it open again in a couple of days.
