Rainfall Total On Record Pace For Grass Valley?

More impressive rainfall totals for Grass Valley. The latest wave of storms added another 7 inches Sunday through Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The season total has more more than doubled since Christmas, to over 67 inches, 11 inches more than a year ago. It also exceeds the combined season totals of the previous two years. And Meteorologist Jason Clapp says the heaviest part of these systems is still on the way….

Snow levels also remain high, but Clapp says they should finally drop on Thursday…

This is the wettest winter in 6 years, when the season total was over 72 inches. But to break the record, Grass Valley would have to get dumped with another 18 inches between now and the official end of the season on October 1st. Our highest total was 85.9 inches, during the 1994-95 season.
