Ranting Mother taken Into Custody

A Penn Valley woman is facing charges after Sheriff’s Deputies went to her home to check on a five year old child. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says deputies were called to a home on Tara Lane just after three in the morning Saturday, to check on a child. The caller said the woman was throwing items and breaking up the home. The deputies were concerned because a five year old child was in the home.  Sheriff Royal says the home was in complete disarray.

The Sheriff says as the deputies went in the front door, the mother ran out the back. The mother tried to hide in a field near the home. The child was uninjured and the mother was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for treatment.  The woman could be facing charges of child endangerment and resisting deputies.
