Rare ‘Treat Street’ Opening

It’s not very often this happens….a food booth is open on Treat Street for the Nevada County Fair this summer. Fair Deputy Manager Robin Hauck says there are times when local non-profits that run the food booths, either can’t continue or need some time off…

Their booth was located on “South Treat Street”, and they have sold Lazy Dog Ice Cream in the past. Last year, almost 700-thousand dollars were generated on Treat Street, with proceeds allowing local non-profit organizations to provide vital services to our community. Hauck says an application process will be used to fill the vacancy. There isn’t a waiting list…

Applicants must be a Nevada County-based non-profit group.  Groups must provide all equipment and staffing during operating hours of the Fair, 10 am to 11 pm, each day. For more information and an application, contact Lisa by phone at (530) 273-6217 or e-mail  Lisa@NevadaCountyFair.com.
