Record Number of Travelers for Holiday Season

Motorists are hitting the road in record numbers for Christmas this year. That’s according to the annual Triple-A travel survey. Cynthia Harris with Triple-A says 12-point-one million Californians are predicted to be traveling for the holidays…

Harris says today (December 23) is the busiest travel day because people want to be at their destinations before Christmas Eve. Harris says return travel will be a little more scattered, with many coming back after New Year’s Day…

Like the Thanksgiving weekend, Harris says if you are going to be on the interstates, the best time to travel is early in the morning or late at night, during off-peak hours.
