Reed Welcomes Debate with LaMalfa

Millions of viewers won’t be watching when Democrat congressional candidate Jim Reed, running to represent Nevada and other California counties in Congress, debates Republican Doug LaMalfa.
But Reed says the October 19 debate announced Tuesday (Oct. 2)  matters as much in the congressional race as Obama and Romney’s debates do for the presidency.

The debate is planned at a public television station in Redding. Reed had said Tuesday that LaMalfa was ducking a second debate but the LaMalfa campaign cited the upcoming debate questioned Reed’s assertion.
