Register to Show Market Beef at Fair

Even though the Nevada County Fair is months away, the process for showing animals is already underway. Deputy Fair Manager Robin Hauck says the mandatory registration of market beef animals will begin March 18th.  The registration period is only for three weeks.

Exhibitors of large market beef must be nine years old or in the fourth grade.
Registration forms are available at the fair office or a FFA adviser. All the required documents must be turned in at the same time. The registration for goats, lambs, sheep and swine begins on May 20th and will also be open for three weeks.
