Royal says in May, a caller reported what was thought to be a jawbone along the shoreline of Lake Spaulding. Dive teams later recovered a skull and ten bones that were believed to be human. Those bones were later identified as human, and a specialist in Walnut Creek was able to determine that they were the bones of 26 year-old Ruendi Abarra of Stockton, who was the driver of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run…

The family had filed a missing persons report earlier this year. The disappearance happened at about the same time as another one near White Cloud Campground. The body of 34 year-old Rickie Abel was later found in Scotts Flat Lake.
