Remembering 9-11-2001

Special ceremonies were held at the Grass Valley Veterans building at noon today. Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 130 held an honor Guard for those who lost their lives on September 11 2001. In a short ceremony several chaplains offered prayers and thanks for the emergency responders who gave their lives on that day. Grass Valley Police Chief John Foster summed up what the ceremonies were about.

Memorial-005Many of the people attending the ceremonies came personally to say thanks to the gathered police officers and fire fighters who attended the somber scene.
