Renter Allegedly Robbed by Landlord’s Ex

A Smartsville man reported several people had stolen his marijuana and beaten him up. Nevada County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Paul Schmidt says the theft was report on Friday, but had occurred the night before. The incident happened when the victim who was renting the home on Melody Road in the Big Oak Valley sub division, had his home broken into by,. the estranged wife of the home owner. When the woman enter, she took five pounds of processed marijuana. Lieutenant Schmidt says the suspect’s son then assaulted the victim.

Lieutenant Schmidt said deputies are trying to contact the woman and her son to get theb entire picture of what happened at the home.
