Repeat DUI Driver lands in Jail After Vehicle Overturns

An accident on New Year’s Eve has landed one driver in Jail on enhanced charges . CHP Officer Greg Tassone says it happened in the south county.

A 2001 Audi driven by 27 year old Anthony Givens was found on its roof in a landscaped area of the business park. Givens was not injured, but did show signs of impairment.

Officer Tassone says at first Givens was charged with misdemeanor DUI, but that changed after officers received a list of his prior records.

Givens was also charged with driving on a suspended licence which is a misdemeanor. His bail was set at $75,000.
