Report On Lowell Fire Expected Out Soon

About three weeks since it was fully contained, the investigation of the Lowell Fire in Nevada and Placer Counties may be winding up. Tolmachoff says neither arson nor accidental causes have been ruled out. The Lowell Fire took 19 days to fully contain after it began July 25th in the You Bet area and threatened hundreds of homes. About 23-hundred acres went up in flames, with two structures destroyed and one damaged. There were also six injuries, including a U-S Forest Service firefighter who had severe burns.
