Popular Events Set New Tentative Dates

Some of the major local events for late spring and early summer have scheduled new dates, but under coronavirus uncertainty, that doesn’t mean the event is going to happen at all. The Nevada City Bicycle Classic, which had been a Father’s Day tradition in the past, is now scheduled for Labor Day weekend, September 5th and 6th. The Penn Valley Rodeo, which is the third week in May, has re-scheduled for August 21 and 22, and the Union’s Home and Graden Show, which was supposed to be this weekend at the Fairgrounds, is now shooting for October 17 and 18. Right now, the Fourth of July parade is still scheduled to he held in Nevada City, and the Nevada County Fair is still planning for their normal dates–August 12 through 16.
