Residential Burglaries in Alta Sierra

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office reports a series of residential burglaries occurred in the Alta Sierra Area yesterday. Sheriff Keith Royal says entry was made by kicking in doors and breaking windows, burglaries were reported on Carrie Drive, Dolores Drive, and Cedar Avenue.

Items taken included prescription drugs, a bicycle and visa card as well as a knife and scabbard and personal documents like birth certificates. The sheriff says it looks like the burglaries occurred while people were away at work.  If anyone saw unusual vehicles or individuals loitering around residences or knocking on doors is urged to call the Nevada County Sheriff’s office.
