Residents Mostly Positive About Stimulus Checks

It took months of negotiations but Congress finally approved a 900 billion dollar second round of COVID stimulus money. As part of the package taxpayers will also get another round of stimulus checks. Nevada County residents out shopping on Monday said they were mostly positive about the proposed 600 dollar checks for people making less than 75,000 dollars.

Though not everyone felt they needed the check, most agreed that it was good for a majority of the population, but it could be better.

And one light hearted gentleman, who is not a US citizen, had no concerns.

The package also includes 600 dollars per child under 18 and 300 dollars a week of extra unemployment benefits on top of state payments.
