Resolution Accelerates Tree Removal Power Lines

The other co-sponsor is Democratic congressman Kurt Schrader of Oregon. LaMalfa says the resolution would provide for pre-approval from the Forest Service. And there may be even more urgency about this hazard this summer, in light of the stormy winter, which resulted in more vegetation and damaged trees…

LaMalfa says the legislation would help decrease the risk of wildfires and power outages, while also lowering costs for utilities and the Forest Service. A vote on the resolution has not been taken yet.
