A plan is in place to replace a one-lane bridge in South County. Design work has begun for a new bridge on Retrac Way over Wolf Creek. Nevada County Principal Civil Engineer Josh Pack says the current bridge is too old…
The bridge provides access to over a hundred homes on Retrac Way off of Lime Kiln Road. Pack says there’s still a lot of work to do before construction, which isn’t scheduled to begin until 2015…
Federal funding will pay for the project, through the Federal Bridge Program. Pack says a detour will be set up so that people will still be able to get across the creek during construction. Over 200 cars a day use that bridge.
