Ridge Road House Catches Fire

Fire Investigators are still working to determine the cause of a house fire that occurred on Ridge Road early Saturday morning. Nevada County Consolidated Battalion Chief Jerry Funk says the home in the 10,000 block of ridge road was not occupied.

Fire crews were on scene for about 5 hours putting the fire out and doing mop-up.  No injuries were reported . The gas and the electricity to the home had been turned off.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.  No word on how long the home had been vacant.
