Ridgestock Music and Sustainability Expo Celebrates 15 years

Ridgestock returns to the San Juan Ridge this Saturday (Aug. 16) and festival creator and organizer Roo Cantada says they will  have speakers, demos, a kids area and vendors and a night of music.

And the headliner band is Monophonics which is an instrumental mostly funk band from San Francisco.

Sam Hinrichs, owner of  Mud and Pearls is heading up the sustainability programming which will include DIY projects with workshops on how to make your own building materials. Cantada says there will be an update on the Mine on the San Juan Ridge, a farm and soil forum, and an update on Title 25.

Ridgestock tickets are $30 ($10 for kids 11 and younger) and available at Briar Patch , Mother Truckers and online at Brown paper tickets dot come. also day of at the event for $35. The Ridgestock Festival is at the North Columbia Schoolhuse on Tyler Foote Rd. and runs from 11 am to 11 pm Saturday Aug. 16.
