The Play “Risen” based on the popular movie is being presented at the Gold Country Calvary Bible Church of Grass Valley, starting today through Saturday. Congregation member Chris Enss says it tells the story of the resurrection. This is the 5th annual Walk Through Jerusalem event put on by members of the church.
Enss says the actors are exceptional in telling the story and there are sets depicting Jerusalem and Golgotha.
The Play covers the events that take place after the Passover and after Jesus has risen.

The play is offered to the community free of charge. Performances are Thursday April 13th and Friday April 14th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. And Saturday April 15th from noon until 2:30 pm. Gold Country Calvary church is located at 13026 La Barr Meadows Rd,
