A defendant picked-up for robbery in Grass Valley find himself facing a third strike. John Corin arrested for getting into a physical confrontation while attempting to leave a liquor store without paying for items ended up so to speak swinging at the wrong pitch. Assistant District Attorney Anna Ferguson says the case is commonly referred to as an Estes Case.
As a result of the upgrade from what could have been a lesser burglary charge- Corwin who had two strikes, now faces much stiffer consequences.*
A third strike could bring Corin a potential life sentence.
Corin was arraigned this morning and is currently in custody.
