Robbery Pursuit Suspects Now Face Trial

About 8 months later, 3 men arrested for robbing a Grass Valley store are facing a trial. Following a 2-day preliminary hearing, a Nevada County judge has ruled that there’s enough evidence to try Joseph and James Sandoval and Anthony Vicente. The pursuit, which occurred the next day, ended in Sacramento, where the Sandovals were arrested. But Vicente escaped and wasn’t arrested until about 3 weeks later, in Alameda County. Walsh says 2 vehicles were also stolen during those 2 days. Walsh says efforts to reach a plea agreement were unsuccessful…

The trio is scheduled to be arraigned on September 28th. Walsh says it’ll likely be at least 2 months, and perhaps as long as 6 months, before a trial would begin.
