Rocklin Thunder 48 Nevada Union Miners 35

The Rocklin Thunder won a high scoring Sierra Foothill League opener, defeating the Nevada Union Miners 48-35 at Hooper Stadium.  The Miners’ homecoming crowd saw the home team jump out to a 28-14 lead before the Thunder rallied with a strong second half and 28 straight points.  Next up for the Miners is the Del Oro Golden Eagles in a SFL contest at NU next Friday.
