Rotary Partners with Osher Foundation on Scholarship Fund

The 5 local Rotary clubs in western Nevada County have made it possible for a $1,000 college scholarship to be available to a local high school graduate each year in perpetuity.  Nevada City Rotary President Carolyn Ingles says the Rotary clubs partnered with the Osher Foundation through Sierra College and each Rotary group raised a portion of the funds needed to create the scholarship.

Applications for the Rotary scholarship will be available through the financial aid office at Sierra College.

The first scholarship will be awarded this year.
