Routine Traffic Stop Nets Alleged Vehicle Thieves and Forgers

Sunday afternoon a Grass Valley Police Officer made a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Tinloy and Bank Streets in Grass Valley. Upon making contact the stop became less routine. Lt. Alex Gammelgard says the driver had a suspended license and none of the passengers had licenses.

McCrudy,-Amy1Long,-Vann1Amy McCrudy of Escalon and Vann Long of Sacramento were taken into custody and as the vehicle was being prepared for impound it was discovered to have been stolen out of Ceres California.

Long and McCrudy were charged with multiple ID theft and forgery related charges as well vehicle theft and possession of stolen items.
