Nevada City, CA—The Western Nevada County K9 Association (WNCK9A) has announced the next “Rüdiger Tuesday” to be held at the “The Golden Era” 309 Broad Street in Nevada City on Tuesday May 10, 2016 from 5 – 9 PM. The public is welcome to come and support Rüdiger, Nevada City’s Police Canine, in a casual and relaxed environment.
Part of the proceeds from the event will go to the WNCK9A which will help with the ongoing funding of the Nevada City Canine program. The WNCK9A was formed to support the acquisition, initial and on-going training and equipping of a Nevada City Police Department K9 Officer. The Nevada City’s K9, Rüdiger, is 100% community funded.
Additionally, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a drawing for a “Rüdiger plush K9” valued at $130. The next scheduled drawing is set for Wednesday July 6, 2016. The previous winner was Lisa Lang, a Nevada City resident. Ms. Lang was contacted via telephone and is responding to secure her “Rüdiger” plush.
Proceeds from the drawing continue to support on-going expenses. Tickets are also available at the window of the Nevada City Police Department and at various community events like the upcoming Rüdiger Tuesday at the Golden Era in Nevada City as well as other community activities.
