Running for Cystic Fibrosis

The fourth annual Cystic Fibrosis Run at Empire Mine was a little bit more challenging than a walk in the Park. Over 120 runners and walkers tackled the hilly 5 kilometer course but the effort was for a good cause. Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Spokesperson Debra Wagner says Cystic Fibrosis touches Nevada County in a variety of ways.

Runners and walkers alike were happy to be contributing to the cure while also getting a little exercise.
The Cystic Fibrosis Run is the 9th of 11 runs in the gold Country Grand Prix Series sponsored by the Sierra Trailblazers Running Club.
