Nevada County has received grant funding to replace some 900 signs on 10 corridors in the county to improve traffic safety.
County Principal Civil Engineer, Joshua Pack says the project will cover a fairly wide area.
He says it may not sound like a big deal, but new signs with better reflective coatings and updated speed signs going into curves can greatly improve driving safety.
Pack says Nevada County is leading the state with a Road Signs Safety project.
He says they just opened the bids, work should get started in May.
