Sammie’s Friends Launches Spay/Neuter Campaign for Cats

 

Sammie’s Friends, a local non-profit that provides medical care for pets and contracts with Nevada County to operate the Nevada County Animal Shelter is starting a spay/neuter campaign to try to combat the pet over-population crisis they are currently facing.

That’s Joann Castles a Board member at Sammies Friends. She says Sammie’s Friends has launched a fundraising campaign to help more cat owners in the community with financial assistance to get their pets fixed. She says many of the local Veteranerians have offered to do the proceedures at a discount, but they still need to raise funds…

Donations can be mailed or dropped off at the Sammie’s Friends Nifty Thrifty Thrift Shop at 627 East Main Street or you can visit Sammie’s Friends website or their Facebook page for more information and a link to make donations.
