Santa’s Christmas Shoppe for Children Saturday

Many times during the Christmas holidays people try to give a gift that means something to a family member, and not everyone, especially children can afford to buy that special gift. But in Nevada County there is as special opportunity, just for the kids. Kare Crisis Nursery, which provides respite childcare for families in need, offers a Santas Christmas Shoppe for children 3-10 years of age can shop for family members. Event organizers, Lynn Woerner and Dr. Melissa Agnes say every item is just 25 cents and
children can shop for up to six family members with special helpers, so the gifts are kept a surprise.

The gifts are then wrapped by Santa’s helpers so mom and dad and nosey siblings can’t see what they are.
The team says the Santa’s Gift Shop is Saturday from 10 am to 1pm at Sierra presbyterian Church on Ridge Road. Parents are held in a waiting area with tasty treats while the children are escorted through the shopping area with an assigned elf. More gifts and volunteers are needed.

You can volunteer by calling the nursery at 530-265-0693 or emailing kare.helpers@gmail.com the information will be posted with this story on KNCO.com.
You can also get a gift list and event information directly for the Kare Crisis Nursery website.
