Saturday DUI Injury Accident

A DUI injury accident required an air transport from Rough and Ready Saturday around 5:15 PM. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says the accident occurred on Rough and Ready Road just off the Old Rough and Ready Highway.  A 1989 For Ranger pick up driven by a 62 year old female driving westbound on Rough and Ready Road was the only vehicle involved.

A civilian saw the accident and went to help the driver.

The driverr was complaining of a lot of pain and because of the nature of the rollover, she was transported by air to the Sutter Roseville Trauma Center.
Preliminary investigation suggested a DUI collision.

The status for the woman driver, who is from the Rough and Ready area, was stable as of Sunday.
