Saturday Food Distribution Pgm Extended

An increasingly popular food distribution program for working poor families in Nevada County will continue at least another 6 months, but with a change in hours. Timpany says working individuals and families who are having difficulty making ends meet and can’t access IFM or other local food distributions during the week, because of their work schedule, are invited to participate. She says the program has helped her learn more about community needs…

Timpany says food distributions have about doubled since the program began. The next Food Access Saturday is tomorrow and the new hours are 10am to noon. All you need to do is show proof that you’re a resident of the county.
