SAVE money cards to be given to Fire Victims

Imagine you’re a young family that stands helplessly at the edge of your driveway as firefighters battle a blaze that has engulfed your home. You’re alive but heartsick as you watch your possessions go up in flames. Now Nevada County firefighters will be able to offer some help. Nevada County Consolidated Fire District Deputy Chief Jerry Funk says the new partnership is with SAVE Which stands for supplying aid to victims of Emergency.

The Save Cards are funded by the California Fire foundation through private donations. Deputy Chief Funk says it’s not just for fires.

The Save Card can help disaster victims through the most difficult part of the recovery process, that first 24 hours, and maybe feel a little less lost and alone.
