Scooter’s Pals is holding an adopt-a-thon, getting ready to move to a new location, and is asking for help with the vet bill for a special dog named Joy. Executive Director Susan Wallace says Joy was recently rescued but contracted a serious canine disease Leptospirosis that could have been fatal if it wasn’t treated immediately.
Unfortunately Joy was not vaccinated and the cost of treatment was an unplanned expense for Scooter’s Pals.
Scooter’s Pals is also holding an adopt-a-thon this Saturday at Petco. There are lots of dogs looking for families before the holidays.
And, Scooter’s Pals will be moving to a new location just a few doors down from Humpty Dumpty Restaurant. So, Scooter’s Pals will be closed the week of Thanksgiving and reopening in the new location on December 9th.
