A significant recreational option has now been added here, with the reopening of boat launches at Scotts Flat and Rollins Lakes, starting on Friday. Nevada Irrigation District Public Information Officer, Tomi Riley says it still comes with coronavirus restrictions imposed by the Nevada County Public Health Department. That means only members of the same household can be on board. All boaters should have a personal face mask or similar covering and will also be required to sign a release of liability form. Riley says there will be no metering of boat traffic. But to reduce congestion, NID will allow boat slip and mooring ball holders to drop their boats from 7:30 Wednesday morning until four this afternoon, although recreational boating will not be allowed until Friday. Meanwhile, other day use areas are still closed…
Riley says she doesn’t know when those areas will reopen.
