Scotts Flat Spillway Gate Likely To Reopen

The Scotts Flat spillway gate that was closed in August will likely be reopened soon. After meeting Tuesday morning, a committee of two Nevada Irrigation District Board members recommends the full board approve re-opening the gate, at least through the winter. The board meets on Friday. The gate was closed due to such problems as illegal camping and campfires, unsafe jumping from the spillway into the lake, excessive trash, graffiti, and debris dumping.
