Scotts Flat Trail Closed For Fuels Reduction

The Scotts Flat Lake trail between Gates one and two are closed through Wednesday for continued fire fuels reduction treatment. This will involve thinning trees and removing underbrush. Nevada Irrigation District officials say it’s part of ongoing efforts to protect the watersheds in their care. The forest management projects include fire hazard mitigation and hazard tree removal, forest community improvement, as well as habitat restoration.
