Search and rescue volunteers including some canines and their handlers and the equestrian team will be in local shopping centers and store fronts from 9 am to 4 pm Saturday July 9. Last year they raised $20 thousand dollars and hope to do the same or more this year. The Volunteers typically spend a thousand dollars of their own money for search and rescue gear. There are between 120 and 140 volunteers on the Search and Rescue team.
