Search For Missing Plane Suspended

The ground search, and likely the air search, has been suspended, regarding a missing plane in a mountainous area of Sierra County. Mark Richard and his wife, Brenda, of Santa Rosa, took off from Truckee Tahoe airport on Monday, April 17th. But they never arrived at the Petaluma airport. The Nevada County Search and Rescue Team was one of numerous agencies who assisted for 5 days, or through Sunday. Sullivan says 26 different north state agencies, including just under 500 search and rescue volunteers, participated. But the decision was made Sunday night to suspend any further organized ground search activities…

Sullivan says unless there’s any significant new information that would cause a resumption of the search, crews won’t likely go back into the area until after most of the snow melts.
