Second Arrest In Burglary Of $Thousands In Tools

A transient from Grass Valley is the second arrest in a burglary that occurred near Nevada City in September. Nevada County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Bill Smethers says about 5-thousand dollars worth of tools were stolen from a home on Cedar View Road…

But Smethers says by the time the vehicle was pulled over, by a Grass Valley Police officer, the second suspect, 27-year-old Ruben Bernal, had managed to walk away…

Bernal was arrested on Tuesday. But the second man, also a transient, is still at large.
