Second Arrest Made in Grass Valley Honey Oil Lab

Grass Valley Police have made a second arrest involving a Honey Oil Lab that was discovered at a house in the 100 block of School Alley last Friday. Lt. Alex Gammelgard says Grass Valley Police initially went to the home to investigate repeated hang ups of       9-1-1 calls coming from the residence. When officers got there they found a woman who had been the victim of domestic violence, but the suspect Michael Balsiger had already fled the scene.

At that point Hope Balsiger was arrested on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, resisting or delaying a peace officer, and child endangerment as officers also found a one and a half year old child living in squalid conditions in the home and called Child Protective Services.

Lt. Gammelgard says Michael Balsiger was spotted Monday on Sutton Way and was taken into custody.
