Second Bicycle Accident Causes Head Injury

A solo bicycle rider received a head injury as a result of crash Thursday morning. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says the call first came in around 10:30 AM. The incident occurred in the Chicago Park area on Lower Colfax and Mt Olive Roads.

Because of the nature of the injuries emergency personnel did have the female rider airlifted to Sutter Roseville Trauma Center. Officer Tassone says it was fortunate the woman was wearing a helmet.

With no other witnesses in such a remote area it will take some time for the CHP to piece together exactly what happened to cause the accident.
