Second Fire Near Collins Lake

Collins Lake, Yuba County. Fire is burning in heavy brush and grass. The fire is burning on 15 acres to the northeast of the previous County fire.  It is   70 percent contained.
Currently no evacuations. Multiple aircraft, engines, dozers and handcrews have been on scene. Wind conditions are an obstacle as they are creating  erratic fire behavior.
No injuries reported. No road closures.
June 10, 2012 at 9:16  AM – Firefighters made good progress over night. The fire is burning in heavy fuels, in steep terrain.
  Ground crews  continued to work throughout the night.
  No threat to structures. Good progress is being made.
Units from Oregon House, Dobbins, Loma Rica/Browns Valley and the Tahoe National Forest are assisting Cal Fire NEU.
