Second Vehicle Runs Into CHP Vehicles

Two CHP Officers and a suspected drunk driver narrowly missed being critically injured. CHP Public Information Officer Greg Tassone says a CHP officer stopped a suspected drunk driver on Highway 20 just north of Nevada City Saturday evening. A second Officer arrived to assist. Officer Tassone says when the officers took the 37 year old Utah driver into custody, things got much worst.

The 31 year old female driver hit the first patrol car side swiped the second and forced the two CHP cars into the suspected drunk drivers car. When the officers saw the second car coming at them, they pulled the first drunk driving suspect out of the way, and then jumped for safety.
