Senator Gaines Helps Woman Flooded With Citations

A woman who mistakenly received 55 citations in the mail for not paying bridge tolls in the Bay Area finally ended up getting help from Nevada County’s State Senator. Ted Gaines says the Modoc County woman, 74-year-old Richann Flynn, had not driven her pickup over any of those bridges in 15 years. So Gaines, who is also a member of the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee, sent letter to the Bay Area Toll Authority to get the matter straightened out…

A spokesman for the Bay Area Toll Authority mistakes can happen when the license plate frame obscures part of the lettering, when the camera lens isn’t clean, or when a reflection obscures letters or numbers.
